Woman of Valor
We are proud to honor Cantorial Soloist Sarah Avner as our 2025 Woman of Valor. For over two decades, Sarah has been a vital presence at Congregation Beth Israel, beginning as a volunteer in 1998 and evolving into a cherished leader on our clergy team. Her journey from assisting with High Holy Day preparations to guiding B’nei Mitzvah students and leading Tot Shabbat services exemplifies her unwavering dedication to our community. Sarah’s compassionate leadership, musical talent, and commitment to inclusivity have profoundly enriched our congregation. Her ability to connect with individuals across generations and her steadfast support during times of joy and sorrow embody the essence of a true Woman of Valor.
