URJ Responds to the Nevada Shooting

From personal messages I've received from other Sisterhood members this week, I know many of us were deeply shaken by the violent murder of 59 people and the wounding of 527 others in Las Vegas on the night of October 1st by a single gunman, using weapons modified to shoot automatically -- the only purpose of which was to kill as many people as quickly as possible.

Gun violence has become all too common in the United States, and many of us, as Reform Jews, feel the need to respond. The URJ has done so, in this statement. Please read it and pray for the lives lost this week, as well as think about what you can do, in your own small way, to bring an end to the violence. Shalom, everyone.
